The Draft Film Project – fully backed!

We’re now less than a week away from converging on the Cultybraggan ex-POW camp in Perthshire, Scotland to film “The Draft – A Conscription of Conscience” – a new short film series exploring the future of the Church. A group of 20 sojourners and technical crew will be filming next Saturday, 11th January, 2020. Explore The Draft film series, here.

It’s not too late to invest in this documentary if you’re able and would like to? Click here.

We’re certainly very grateful for the generosity of everyone backing the project so far.

Are we ready?

I know that the burden on everyone’s heart is the glory of God and faithfulness to Christ. However, are we ready for the radical preparation that the Spirit of God is leading us into?

Without doubt, we are living in very significant days and I covet your prayers, personally and for the project.

Jesus is coming and the fundamental landscape of the British Church is changing.

Thank you for praying.

Maranatha.

Vimeo Showcases Jesus Come

This year has been very busy throughout. I’m certainly not complaining though because it has also been a very fruitful year.

In the summer we released the groundbreaking book Body Zero – Radical Preparation for the Return of Christ.

We had a publisher all lined up, a contract signed, sealed and delivered but, as the 1st of July approached, (the release date that I knew the Lord had given me), they started to get cold feet. So, long story short, I pulled the book from them and made the brave decision to go completely independent.

Here’s a wee video of behind the scenes of that hectic first couple of weeks in July:

Following the release of Body Zero, the book fell into the hands of the very kind team at Prophecy Today UK who reviewed it very warmly, plugging it for us in their magazine and again in their newspaper a few weeks ago leading up to a Christmas.

You can read the Prophecy Today UK review here.

Consequently, we’ve had to go back to our superb printer and arrange a second print-run!

We’ve also wanted to have “taster” vlogs available for each chapter; something to whet the appetite amidst the busyness of life as well as providing a glimpse of the author where it might be harder to discern tone and nuance from the black and white of a page.

These are now all available, away from the distractions of Facebook and social media, on Vimeo’s showcase service.

You can watch all of the vlogs here and order your copies of Body Zero here

We also have an epic Kickstarter crowd-funding project from January 2020 if you would like to invest… or know someone else who would?

Maranatha!

What Do You Think of Jesus?

Jesus. You might love Him. You might hate Him. You might reduce Him to fanciful notion and religious crutch. Jesus. Regardless, I have come to find Him to be irresistibly, insatiably and authentically Who He said He was: the Way, the Truth and the Life – the only reconciling way to know and embrace the Father. Jesus. Very God of Very God. His loving Presence unmistakeable, incomparable. His eternal, infinite reality transcendent over everything physical and emotional and spiritual, making perfect sense of our incomprehensible smallness. Jesus. He is Sanity in anxiety; He is all substance found in faith. I don’t think we really know what it means to abide in Him; I don’t think we really know what it means to pray. So much of life and so much of “church” conspires against these bread and butter inheritances. Some wittingly some unwittingly. Either way, I believe God wants to revive us through tears. No man lives via bread alone. Check out my vlog on prayer via my author’s page here and, if you haven’t already, grab a copy of Body Zero by clicking here.

Is there more to life than this? Heck yes. The supernatural life of a disciple of Christ… enough wasted time. We need to be radically prepared for His return.

What I Learnt From Walking Away From a Mainstream Publisher

Body Zero – Radical Preparation For the Return of Christ” has been out for almost one month now. It’s been an exhausting and exhilarating month of social media, events, packaging, daily trips to the Post Office and…a gradual easing into rest.

As though the finest cut of meat has been grilled, released from the fire and now sitting under a tin-foil canopy unto something like imperfect perfection, my very best is just being served as Body Zero does the rounds. Here’s what I learnt:

My Heart Notes: Leviticus Chapter One

Hello! My name is Mairi, the face behind My Heart Notes 😀

Last summer I knew that I needed to spend more time praying and reading the Bible as I really felt that my emphasis on the importance of the Bible wasn’t matched by my own lifestyle. So I found a plan, a journaling Bible and set the alarm a bit earlier.

But I also wanted to study the Bible and not just read it, so I tried to find a resource that would integrate note-taking within my Bible. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I felt God say, “you do it.” And so I began my wee plan for producing some Bible-study videos.

Tonight the first one goes live and I would love us to study the Word together – to share what God says with each other! So if you’re interested, all you need is your Bible and your favourite highlighters.

You can follow regular content on the Facebook page, below, and the Instagram feed HERE.

How We Have Fallen

What would dear Horatius have written had he lived in 2017?

We’ll chat one day.

“Man is now thinking out a Bible for himself; framing a religion in harmony with the development of liberal thought; constructing a worship on the principles of taste and culture; shaping a god to suit the expanding aspirations of the age…The extent of the mischief no one can calculate. A soul without faith, a church without faith, a nation without faith, a world without faith – what is to be their future? What is their present? When faith goes, all good things go. When unbelief comes in, all evil things follow.” (more…)

We Are Gomer

This is the seventh and final post that I’m going to do on the book of Hosea. But seventh in the series though it may be, I want to treat it as though it is the first and the last.

Layered over the timeless theology of this minor Prophet’s book, and this series, has been a certain amount of poetic thought. I hope it’s been clear; I hope it’s been helpful.

But, in just a few paragraphs, what is the message of Hosea? (more…)
