What Do You Think of Jesus?

Jesus. You might love Him. You might hate Him. You might reduce Him to fanciful notion and religious crutch. Jesus. Regardless, I have come to find Him to be irresistibly, insatiably and authentically Who He said He was: the Way, the Truth and the Life – the only reconciling way to know and embrace the Father. Jesus. Very God of Very God. His loving Presence unmistakeable, incomparable. His eternal, infinite reality transcendent over everything physical and emotional and spiritual, making perfect sense of our incomprehensible smallness. Jesus. He is Sanity in anxiety; He is all substance found in faith. I don’t think we really know what it means to abide in Him; I don’t think we really know what it means to pray. So much of life and so much of “church” conspires against these bread and butter inheritances. Some wittingly some unwittingly. Either way, I believe God wants to revive us through tears. No man lives via bread alone. Check out my vlog on prayer via my author’s page here and, if you haven’t already, grab a copy of Body Zero by clicking here.

Is there more to life than this? Heck yes. The supernatural life of a disciple of Christ… enough wasted time. We need to be radically prepared for His return.

Body Zero: OUT NOW

Hi everyone!

Well this is a very exciting day for us because we are able to officially release my debut book that’s been years in the making – Body Zero: Radical Preparation for the Return of Christ.

Do you ever wonder what the Church will look like when Jesus returns?

This groundbreaking, debut book is a radical call to action to prepare the Body of Christ to prepare the world for the return of the Messiah.

Partly autobiographical from major stages of my own Christian journey, partly polemic against the cultural quagmire of our times and, ultimately, pastoral to help us all to love Jesus as we should, I prayerfully commit this book now to the Church that I love.

Jesus is coming and we must get ready…because we’re not.

There are also ten teaching vlogs to accompany the book that will be released every week over the summer.

My Heart Notes: Leviticus Chapter One

Hello! My name is Mairi, the face behind My Heart Notes 😀

Last summer I knew that I needed to spend more time praying and reading the Bible as I really felt that my emphasis on the importance of the Bible wasn’t matched by my own lifestyle. So I found a plan, a journaling Bible and set the alarm a bit earlier.

But I also wanted to study the Bible and not just read it, so I tried to find a resource that would integrate note-taking within my Bible. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I felt God say, “you do it.” And so I began my wee plan for producing some Bible-study videos.

Tonight the first one goes live and I would love us to study the Word together – to share what God says with each other! So if you’re interested, all you need is your Bible and your favourite highlighters.

Introducing a new song called “Home”.

It’ll be heading into the studio soon but also worthy of pure, raw form 😇 (pls excuse the piano’s tuning)

Nothing replaces the raw moments of writing and the yearnings of our private worship is often very different to our public declarations.

Let’s get real! 🔥

HOME 🏡 🐑

Like a Shepherd with His sheep

You will always be

Watching over us

So faithfully

And we will be your prize

The flock of your delight

Just waiting now for your voice

You will leave the many

To find us

You will lead us home

You are beautiful

Even when my heart feels like stone

You are beautiful

Even when I can’t find my way

You are beautiful

Even when my life is on fire

You are beautiful to me

Would you let me see?

(verse repeat)

You will leave the many

To find us

You will lead us home

You will lift the weary

To save us

You will make us strong

(Chorus)

You never have have

You’re never gonna leave me on my

You never have

You’re never gonna leave me on my own

Yearn

Give me a man in love; he knows what I mean.  Give me one who yearns; give me one who is hungry; give me one far away in this desert, who is thirsty and sighs for the spring of the Eternal country.  Give me that sort of man; he knows what I mean.  But if I speak to a cold man, he just does not know what I am talking about.”
