A Process of Healing ‘But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.’ Malachi 4:2 Four years ago I started praying for answers to major family difficulties that Nick and I hadContinue reading “In His Wings”

The Humanity of Prayer
We were flicking through movie rental options on TV the other night when we stumbled across Kevin Reynolds’ 2016 film Risen – a film about the resurrection of Christ as seen through the eyes of a Roman Military Tribune, Clavius ((Joseph Fiennes). Inititially I thought the film was going to be lame but was surprised byContinue reading “The Humanity of Prayer”
A Normal Oblivion
Bed-side Imagine being woken up tomorrow morning by voices in your head, or voices that you thought were in your head. Imagine groggily coming round, sick in your stomach, disoriented by fear because of the sonic traffic that the voices in your head were creating: unfamiliar tones, unrecognisable expressions – a mystifying medley of unearthlyContinue reading “A Normal Oblivion”

There are many lows inContinue reading “Hewn Husband: “Come back!””

Mr Cameron also pointed to the phenomenal welfare efforts of the churchContinue reading “Mr Cameron, Please Take Note”
New Mercies
Because of Jesus’ blood shed on the cross for you and for me, our daily waking reality is one of jubilee – i.e. we get to wake up every single morning knowing that we have been set free from the kingdom of darkness, released from the dominion of sin, forgiven from everything past, present and future and ‘delivered’ or ‘transferred’ into the kingdom of the Son!
Cold Feet? Beautiful Feet – A Theory of Holiness and Balance
So far this Advent we have focused on Isaiah 52 verses 1-4. How come? Because we wanted to spend time responding to the series Look At The Lamb by getting practical and by getting bold.
