Conversation with Gavin Ashenden

Hello!

Today we have a pause in our “All the Prophets” focused season as we welcome Gavin Ashenden, former Chaplain to the Queen and now British Catholic layman who converted from evangelicalism in 2019.

In our conversation we discuss Justin Welby, apostasy, HTB seeker-sensitive progressive spirituality, demonic visitations, homosexuality, feminism, weak bladders etc etc etc.

Joyful Noise (LIVE at home)

Introducing an unplugged, LIVE version of the new song Joyful Noise, the song of praise that we wrote after a recent podcast exploring songs of praise and songs of lament (entitled, Where is the Cry?).

You can listen to the podcast here first.

Here’s the song, but please forgive the rough recording!

If you’d like to help us record it in a studio, please see here.

When Gathering Together is Worse Than Not

Hello!

Thank you all for listening to this episode today.

If you’d like to take communion please prepare some bread and wine to be ready at the end 🍞 🍷

WARNING: Some of you will find it harder to listen to this week’s episode than others but please try and stick with it until the end. I am aiming for both honesty and integrity, fearing God and not man.

Should Women Lead Churches?

Hello!

Thank you for joining us again on Into the Pray.

I’ll be picking Hamlet back up again next week.

Suffice to say for our 33rd episode in 1 Corinthians, we now broach one of the most important theological errors of our day:- “progressive” “christian” liberalism.

What of head coverings? Are egalitarians correct when they maintain that there is no longer male and female in Christ and that, therefore, “Why shouldn’t women lead a church?!” (Galatians 3:28). What might be the result if they’re not?

ELISHA & Apostasy in the Church

Listen to Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali talk with me about the Prophet Elisha and the current – and worsening – apostasy of the British Church.

We trust that you/yours will be blessed as it was a joy to listen to Michael share about his family background in Pakistan, his conversion at University in Karachi thanks to an illegal Anglican Chaplain, his courage to speak up about the unfaithful Church in Great Britain and his love of the word “maranatha”.

The Terror of the LORD

A short video of Ecclesgreig Castle, Scotland, edited/filmed entirely by drone as a visual/sonic ode to William Booth.

“Most Christians would like to send their recruits to Bible college for five years. I would like to send them to hell for five minutes. That would do more than anything else to prepare them for a lifetime of compassionate ministry.”

William Booth

“Do not trust in these deceptive words: ‘This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD.’”

Jeremiah

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. Therefore, knowing the fear (terror) of the Lord, we persuade others.”

Paul

Glorious Gluttony

This is the brief blog article to accompany the podcast of the same title, below.

City of Temples is our weekly teaching series through the book of 1 Corinthians and today we finish chapter 10.

The podcast this week is slightly longer than usual because, towards the end, it was right to include a word of testimony regarding a health struggle that has gotten particularly difficult over the last year or so.

Where is the Cry?

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this unplanned, impromptu version of Into the Pray. (Apologies about the seagulls!)

This episode is a brief devotional from Psalm 106 and, regarding our current juncture in church history, poses a vital question of the utmost importance at the end.
