Last night the Holy Spirit spoke to me in a dream. I’m sharing the dream publicly because it relates directly to the video below and the lives of tens of thousands of people. I have sought to simply convey the specifics of what I saw and understood in the dream rather than trying in any way to embellish or dramatise its content, nor to dismiss details that to my mind may have seemed incidental.
Please can I discourage speculation but also plead for wholehearted turning from those involved. For us all, heeding the principle of “clearing” is now more urgent than ever before, (1 Peter 4:17).
Dream:
I could see a bedroom in a house in which there was a desk. The house was a normal residential house, though large and hosting many guests. It was a crowded house. I could see that, apart from the desk, the room was undecorated, unfurnished and damp. I could also see that the desk, although appearing to be functional, was rotten. So I punched the desk which immediately disintegrated and crumbled onto the floorboards beneath. Immediately, out from underneath the desk, sprang all manner of filth — I saw swarming insects, still-born mice, rats and other vermin — and the room became intensely unpleasant and dangerous. I could see that there was panic and embarrassment in the house at large provoking a reflex response by some to try and close the door of the room so as to contain the filth. But there was no door; the room had no door. Then, as though miraculously provided, there was a door — a concertina door of multiple articulating parts — which was hurriedly pulled across the doorway and closed in the hope of containing the infestation. There was a struggle to seal this door against the power within the room. The dream’s concluding emotion: the futility, insufficiency and perilous danger of man-made solution.
Interpretation:
The house is a large and increasingly popular global Christian ministry; the room is its associated online space; the desk is the specific work/content of the ministry; the rotten infestation is sexual sin that has been concealed, contained and even unknown. The sinful infestation has affected the whole house and threatens to continue to infect the wider population of the house despite there being no direct culpability from the majority. Cultural complicity within the house by those who do know has meant that the infection has spawned like fungi, digitally airborne, affecting many thousands of sincere believers. The attempts of the hosts of the house to contain the problem were unashamed and of the flesh, (“no door, then a concertina door”). The problem was unknown by the majority of the residents of the house. The assumption that the dwelling was safe was a false assumption; the house is not safe. There is only one Door Who can deal with such filth — the Lamb whose blood was shed. The Door never seeks to contain such danger but rather, for the safeguarding of all its residents, always seeks to sever its root entirely so as to make a deep, cleansing clearing of the house. The Door will empty; only then will there be peace and joy.
