Human rights atrocity and socio-cultural narrative are not the same thing. But certain people – certain groups – want you to think that they are. Human rights atrocity should be dealt with and governments brought to justice but that doesn’t mean that conscientious objection to the traipsing of socio-cultural values and definitions for millennia equate to hate speech.
