There is no doubt that Jesus of Nazareth existed as a historical figure. And there is no doubt that He was crucified on a Roman cross.
This whole Easter weekend boils down to whether or not you believe that He was resurrected from the dead…whether miracles happen…whether there is a spiritual realm beyond that which we can touch and taste and hear and see.
I wouldn’t be a loving man if I didn’t bang this drum as loudly as I can for the rest of my fleeting life.
Jesus did live, He did die and He did rise again….for you! He loves you!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ~John 3:16
Please consider Jesus this Easter: google the historicity of the Bible (cf. all other historical documents that you accept as solid and true, perhaps especially the spurious Koran) and the indisputable life and death of Jesus Christ.
Atheism is a lie, Islam is a lie, Buddhism is a lie, humanism is a lie. Anything and everything outside of Jesus Christ is a lie.
Christians have been accused of being arrogant for centuries – for claiming this monopoly on the truth – but this is exactly why Jesus was crucified.
The truth will set you free! (Doesn’t it make much more sense that one thing is true – one way – rather than “all roads lead to the truth”?).
There is only one way to the Father and that is by the blood of the Lamb, His Son Jesus.
I pray you open your heart to Him this Easter. I pray that the great Hound of Heaven, that made C S Lewis the most reluctant convert in the whole of England, will gently woo you today into childlike faith.

Don’t try and understand it all; don’t try and work it all out.
Five hundred years ago, Martin Luther said to the prominent humanist Desiderius Erasmus, “Your thoughts of God are too human”…
…and I echo that for every weeping mourner of Notre Dame this morning… God is not Someone to work-out or fit into our finite capacity of thought: He is God Almighty and will be worshipped!
Therefore, if we don’t understand everything, doesn’t that make perfect sense? Don’t exchange the surface level of dutiful “religion” or the futility of “being a decent person” or the irrelevance of “I pay my taxes” stop you from receiving Jesus by faith.
You were made for this.
