During a time of painful depression and heart-ache several years ago, a Brennan Manning book, The Furious Longing of God, proved to be an immense instrument of God’s kindness to me.
Manning’s lyrical prowess was one thing but the new revelation of Daddy God’s love for me, washing and even crashing over my inner life like wild, oceanic waves, was quite another.
This little story, (that I’ve called Daddy’s Little Girl), stayed with me powerfully over the years and this month I had an opportunity to adapt it in short film!
Simply put: regardless of your tradition, religion, denomination or even personal preference, you are Daddy’s Little Boy or Girl.
As Manning said, “God loves us just as we are not as we should be because none of us are as we should be”.
In Matthew 18, Jesus says, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”
