Update one year on from leaving home and city:
Last week I drove 1000 miles, attended three stages of an interview, endured a two-hour grilling and produced and “impressive” presentation for a board, spending £500 on petrol, accommdoation and food…all for the employer to not even bother to email or phone me to thank me with the news that I was unsuccessful…and, of course, not reimbursing me for my significant trouble.
What is this level of dishonour and disgrace teaching us?
HOW CAN OUR LOVE FOR CHRIST NOT GROW COLD?
Hello Nick.
I am reading through your books that you sent me very recently. I am taking the time to digest and consider what you have written , using my PC to create notes and highlighting key thoughts and phrases etc. I am also taking the time to click on the hot links (You tube etc. – VERY useful – THANK YOU!). I am being challenged tremendously and also very uncomfortably and I thank The Lord for that! I have chosen to make a comment here so as to perhaps provide a little encouragement to you. I know that you posted this a year ago, but working through these issues can be long and difficult. The processing of the hurt and grief associated with being so dishonoured etc. can take tremedous grace and time. I have been through similar events myself and do understand. Peace.
Thank you, Andy. Our prayer has always been that the work I/we have produced will be a great sense of sanity-in-testimony for those who are ready and who have been prepared to listed…the Glorious Few.
