I am currently in something of a hiatus from YouTube having discerned the leading of the Holy Spirit into a period of extensive prayer, reading and ministry preparation in October 2023. This has followed our painful “leaving of home and city” following the release of The Glorious Few.

Since August 2023, Mairi and I have been living in several temporary accommodations with our belongings in a storage facility that has not proven weather-proof. This has been difficult but it is a reality that has proven to be a grace to us in that it has continued to expose the areas of our hearts that are still far too dependent on the things of this world for joy and peace. This is a primary lesson for the “undisrupted” Body of Christ.

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

Matthew 13:34

There are no two ways about it: we are not afforded the support of a church congregation, denomination or wider supporter base; our prophetic calling to call the Church into a radically different posture of prayerful repentance is simply not compatible with the mainstream activity of the Church and its para-church organisations. I have personally repented about double-mindedness about this difficult issue in recent months.

We desire Christian community but only community that is on its knees and one that renounces all that it has, including the fierce Christian tendency to procrastinate. This is the uncompromising standard of Christian discipleship but one that your church likely does not teach.

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
