This week Steven Gerrard scored his 40th European goal in an important 2-1 Champ’s League group match against Ludogorets Razgrad.
It was a late, topsy turvy finish from Liverpool, possibly ‘lucky’, but surely with the flow of the match in terms of chances created over the 90 minutes.
This guy is a player that, when he retires, with memories of these kinds of moments, we’ll all wish that he was still playing and representing England in Europe.
